Women's entrepreneurship and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in economic development. It generates revenue, wealth, and has the potential for a multiplier effect through job creation and innovation.
A 2019 report estimates that if women and men participated equally as entrepreneurs, global GDP might rise by approximately 3% to 6%, boosting the global economy by $2.5 trillion to $5 trillion. Further empowering women to participate in the global economy on an equal footing with men may add $28 trillion to the GDP growth by 2025.
