Ika Noviera - Sustainability in The Brewing Industry

In this episode with Gundy Cahyadi talks to Ika Noviera, Director Corporate Affairs of Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk (MLBI), a beverage company known as the maker of the top-selling Bir Bintang in Indonesia. 

Currently, 28% energy need in Multi Bintang's brewing and production process come from renewable sources, including biomass. Ika shares about the company's ambitious target to use 100% renewable energy for its entire production by 2030. Other than using biomass, Multi Bintang will install solar panels in all of its facilities in the coming years. 

The two also discuss ways on how to tackle the obstacles in implementing sustainability action at the corporate level. Corporate Indonesia need to see that sustainability is not a cost, but an opportunity, competitive advantage, and the future.
