ZIGI – Nominasi Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards 2022) telah diumumkan pada Rabu, 12 Januari 2022. Sederet film dan serial populer termasuk House of Gucci, Don’t Look Up hingga Squid Game bersaing untuk membawa pulang piala penghargaan.

Menariknya lagi, aktris Korea Selatan yakni Jung Ho Yeon masuk jajaran nominasi Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series dan bersaing melawan aktris kawakan termasuk Jennifer Aniston dan Reese Witherspoon. Yuk simak daftar nominasi SAG Awards 2022 di bawah ini!

Meski pandemi Covid-19 belum berakhir, SAG Awards 2022 dilaporkan akan digelar secara live dari Barker Hangar, Santa Monica, Amerika Serikat pada 27 Februari 2022. Acara itu juga disiarkan di jaringan televisi TNT dan TBS pukul 20.00 ET atau di Indonesia pada 28 Februari 2022 pukul 08.00 WIB.

Seperti diketahui bahwa SAG Awards tahun lalu digelar secara virtual karena pandemi Covid-19. Namun kali ini, pihak penyelenggara akan menggelar secara tatap muka dengan mengikuti protokol keselamatan Covid-19. Tak hanya itu, lokasi pertunjukan pun berubah yang biasanya di Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium dan Expo Hall kini menjadi di Barker Hangar.

Sebagai informasi, SAG Awards adalah ajang penghargaan yang diberikan oleh Screen Actors Guild American Federation of Television and Radio Artists untuk karya film dan televisi. Tak hanya itu, penghargaan ini juga dianggap sebagai indikator keberhasilan di Academy Awards (Oscars).

Setelah daftar nominasi SAG Awards 2022 diumumkan, para serikat aktor AS mulai bisa memberikan suara pada 19 sampai 25 Januari 2022.

Drama Squid Game yang ditayangkan di Netflix pada 17 September 2021 banyak mendapatkan nominasi SAG Awards 2022. Beberapa nominasi tersebut ialah Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series dan Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.

Aktris pendatang baru Jung Ho Yeon yang memerankan karakter Kang Sae Byeok di Squid Game berhasil dinominasikan dalam Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. Ia akan bersaing dengan Jennifer Aniston, Elizabeth Moss, Sarah Snook dan Reese Witherspoon.

Selain Squid Game, film House of Gucci yang dibintangi Lady Gaga juga panen nominasi. Ada tiga nominasi untuk House of Gucci. Lalu, film Netflix yang berjudul The Power of the Dog juga berhasil mendapatkan tiga nominasi. Film tersebut juga tak kalah mencuri perhatian mengingat pemeran utamanya adalah Benedict Cumberbatch.
