KATADATA ? The Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) Ministry, said that they have delegated the oil and gas permit to the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) today. Starting this month, the oil and gas business subjects can already process their permit in the One Stop Service (PTSP) in the BKPM.

In the copy of EMR Ministerial Decree no. 23 year 2015 that Katadata received on Wednesday (5/8), the delegation permits would be applied gradually. For the early stage, there are 10 permits delegated out of the total 42 permits from the EMR Ministry.

The 10 permits can already be delegated starting from August 1st 2015. The second stage of the delegation would be implemented next month. There are another 20 permits that would be delegated on the second stage. The remaining 12 permits would be delegated on October 1st.

Here are the 10 permits delegated to BKPM starting August 1st:

  1. IP metal recommendation
  2. Importer recommendation for lubricant producers
  3. Recommendation for the use of chemicals
  4. Listed notification letter (SKT) for construction planning
  5. SKT for conducting construction activities
  6. SKT for construction supervision
  7. SKT for integrated construction
  8. SKT for non-construction sector
  9. SKT for sustaining industry (material industry)
  10. Representative office recommendation

Previously the EMR Ministry has targeted the delegation of permits to be conducted in July 2015. However, the ministry now said that it could only be started in August.

The Director for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Development of the EMR Ministry, Djoko Siswanto, said that the overdue was because the EMR Ministerial Decree regarding the delegation of oil and gas permit hasn?t been authorized yet. His side is still waiting for the regulation to be authorized by the Justice and Human Rights Ministry. ?We?re hoping so that it will be released by this week,? said Djoko to Katadata, Monday (2/8).
