Nominasi Oscar 2022, Ada Andrew Garfield dan Spider-Man: No Way Home

ZIGI – Nominasi Oscar 2022 atau Academy Awards ke-94 akhirnya telah diumumkan. Film The Power of the Dog yang dibintangi oleh Benedict Cumberbatch mendominasi dengan berhasil menyabet 12 kategori nominasi.

Menariknya lagi, Andrew Garfield berhasil masuk nominasi Best Actor yang akan bersaing dengan Benedict Cumberbatch, Javier Bardem, Will Smith dan Denzel Washington.

Berbagai Kejutan di Nominasi Oscar 2022

Pembacaan daftar nominasi Oscar 2022 telah diselenggarakan pada Selasa malam, 8 Februari 2022 dan dipandu oleh Leslie Jordan dan Tracee Ellis Ross. Ada beberapa hal yang mengejutkan yang masuk dalam daftar nominasi.

Salah satunya adalah Jane Campion, yang mendapatkan nominasi Best Director untuk film The Power of the Dog. Dia menjadi wanita pertama yang dinominasikan untuk kedua kalinya dalam kategori tersebut. Sebelumnya, Jane pernah masuk nominasi Best Director di tahun 1994 berkat film The Piano.

Bukan itu saja, Lady Gaga dan Leonardo DiCaprio juga tidak masuk dalam daftar nominasi. Padahal, Lady Gaga tahun 2021 lalu membintangi film House of Gucci dan dinominasikan dalam Actress in a Drama Motion Picture untuk ajang Golden Globe Awards 2022.

Sedangkan Leonardo DiCaprio baru-baru ini membintangi film Don’t Look Up yang tayang di Netflix. Seperti sudah disebutkan tadi, film The Power of the Dog mendominasi dengan meraih 12 kategori. Lalu, disusul oleh film Dune dengan 10 nominasi. Ada pula West Side Story dan Belfast yang masing-masing mengantongi tujuh nominasi.

Selain itu, film Spider-Man: No Way Home juga masuk nominasi Oscar 2022 dengan kategori Best Visual Effects. Dikutip Zigi.id dari The Direct pada Rabu, 9 Februari 2022, Andrew Garfield merasa bersyukur karena film yang dibintanginya yakni Spider-Man: No Way Home juga masuk dalam nominasi dan bahkan ia sendiri dinominasikan sebagai Best Actor.

Sebagai informasi, Oscar diberikan oleh Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Organisasi tersebut memberikan penghargaan kepada insan film dengan pencapaian tertinggi di berbagai kategori. Anggota AMPAS terdiri sekitar 6 ribu orang yang dimana mereka adalah para pekerja film.

Oscar 2022 akan diselenggarakan pada Minggu, 27 Maret 2022 di Dolby Theater, Amerika Serikat dan disiarkan secara langsung di ABC. Namun, pembawa acara masih belum diumumkan.
