Patrick Yip: Sticking with "Indonesia-Only" Game Plan
Off The Script with Gundy Cahyadi presents Patrick Yip, Founding Partner of Intundo Ventures, the "Indonesia-only" venture capital firm with over US$230 million in committed capital. Patrick has various backgrounds in strategic investment and planning in multinational companies.
Patrick shares that Intundo wants to connect startups with local partners so that it has a growing portfolio. In addition, Intundo is also trying to help early-stage startups that have been funded to get a follow-up round with a global network or unicorns, at least in Southeast Asia. Like they did to Visinema, a film startup company that recently succeeded in making a box office movie "Mencuri Raden Saleh".
Further, Patrick gives his perspective on the survival ambiance faced by the startup sector in recent years. This winter atmosphere can be a good correction for founders when they want to deploy their company so that they not only measure the top line growth but also conserves cash, builds the runaway, and even focus on margin.
