Rumus Simple Past Tense Interrogative

Di samping simple past tense positive dan negative, terdapat simple past tense interrogative. Dalam simple past tense ini digunakan rumus:

Did + subject + verb 1

Atau

Was/ were + subject

Keterangan Waktu

Pada kalimat simple past tense, biasanya disebutkan juga keterangan waktu kapan kejadian tersebut berlangsung. Adapun ciri keterangan waktu dalam kalimat simple past tense, yaitu:

• Suatu tahun atau bulan yang sudah berlalu.
• Frasa waktu yang didahului last, seperti last week, last month, last year, dan sebagainya.
• Frasa waktu yang diikuti oleh ago, seperti three months ago, one year ago, dan sebagainya.
• Keterangan waktu lainnya yang menyatakan waktu lampau, seperti yesterday, this morning, dan sebagainya.
